It provides a comprehensive introduction to the nature of the international political system and some key issues in contemporary international relations, an entry-level qualification for a professional journalism career, and a mid-career course for working journalists seeking to extend their expertise and refresh the intellectual basis of their practice.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;">The course offers a range of topics in international relations such as global security, economics and human rights with three specialisations, focusing on:</p> <ul style="text-align:justify;"><li>Governance and security</li> <li>International diplomacy and trade</li> <li>Political violence and counter-terrorism.</li> </ul><p style="text-align:justify;">Students may also choose to complete general studies in international relations.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;">Journalism studies focuses on finding the truth and telling the story and plays a crucial role in scrutinising and holding to account those in power and influence.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;">Subject to conditions, students have the opportunity to study abroad, and to develop research interests in a number of areas, providing them with a potential pathway into a higher degree by research. These multidimensional challenges require professionals with the practical skills and analytical capacity to help address economic, political and environmental vulnerabilities at the community, national and global levels.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;">The course offers a multi-disciplinary applied approach to the theory and practice of sustainable development. Delivered by specialists from the humanities and social sciences, medicine, business and economics, education and law, it delivers rigorous research training along with project management and leadership skills development within an interdisciplinary core curriculum.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;">You may choose to focus your electives in one of the following areas:</p> <ul style="text-align:justify;"><li>democracy, justice and governance</li> <li>gender, conflict and security</li> <li>crisis, change and management</li> <li>sustainable resource management.</li> </ul><p style="text-align:justify;">Opportunities for fieldwork, study abroad and internship engagement include options to engage in field-schools at sites of significant development practice such as South Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. We know that most consumed music on the planet is made by creative people who understand their own practice as music artists. We believe that whatever way you choose to express yourself musically is valid, and Melbourne Polytechnic’s pursuit of excellence in contemporary music making is framed by an understanding of music as an art form. Our program is aligned with ‘do it yourself’ practice, engages with commercial pathways, and is grounded in the importance of historical context.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Variety in learning</strong></p> <p style="text-align:justify;">Contemporary music is made by all kinds of musicians, using all kinds of methodologies and technical skills. The Bachelor of Songwriting and Music Production is not a conservatorium style degree and although we understand the importance of technical musical skill, our approach incorporates the reality of contemporary music making where musical excellence in an artistic sense may or may not be connected to technical expertise.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Be part of something unique</strong></p> <p style="text-align:justify;">Melbourne Polytechnic’s songwriting and composition classes are about being inventive, establishing goals and finding new ways to challenge and engage yourself and your future audience. Our music production classes teach multiple ways of recording sound and artists, developing stylistic approaches to recording and producing.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Learn all you will need for music business</strong></p> <p style="text-align:justify;">We teach music business subjects that articulate revenue streams for music artists, explain marketing principles and approaches to management of music careers. The history subjects of the course explore the rich world of contemporary music history and cultural theory subjects will engage you in considering new ways to think about the world. We have a full suite of electives that include making video clips, starting record labels, performance classes and composing music for film.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Be taught by leading experts in the Australian music scene</strong></p> <p style="text-align:justify;">Melbourne Polytechnic’s seminar-style classes are given by lecturers who are well-known and active within contemporary music scenes, and who release records, win awards and undertake international tours. All our lecturers practice what they teach! We are experienced peers who want to help with your goal of being a music artist and connecting with scenes in the real music industry. Pierwszy Semestr 15 300,00 AUDDługość kursu 24 m-cy<p style="text-align:justify;">Enrolment in a master's by research involves the independent investigation of a research problem that has been formulated by the student. It is expected that the research undertaken will make a contribution to the discipline in which the student is enrolled by applying, clarifying, critiquing or interpreting that knowledge. Students are supported by a minimum of two supervisors throughout their enrolment.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;">Students develop a studio research project that results in a body of design works with accompanying written and visual documentation. The documentation is a commentary that outlines the development of the project and its conclusion, and provides a critical context within which the work may be viewed and assessed.</p> <p style="text-align:justify;">The design works are new works that demonstrate a conclusion to the research at the master's level. Works completed for other purposes, or before enrolment in the degree , are not permitted for inclusion in the exhibition.
